- Kentuckians for the Commonwealth is working towards complete and total voter enfranchisement w/ in 4 years for anyone with felonies on their record
- How can our community ensure that younger voters are engaged and involved?
- How do individuals and organizations stay involved yet stay nonpartisan?
- Do we have the number of voters in the East End? Need to focus on racial equity component
- Florida Right to Restoration Coalition
- Organizing inside and outside of prisons ⇒ classes in penitentiary
- There are limitations of how to get people the resources to advocate for themselves
- Ultimately, many in the group found that this kind of disenfranchisement was what founded our county → taxation w/o Representation-the root of voter disenfranchisement
- An important counterpoint → The Right to vote is not in the Federal Constitution
- How do we let people know about the larger picture
- Basic Needs aren't met how why should we care?
- For many, these topics bring regression and hopelessness
- Importance of interacting w/ rural communities and students
- Arts and culture can help de-weaponize and depoliticize some of these issues and bring more people together. How can we use arts and culture to help people tell their own stories about these issues?
